Birthday Preparations!

We are preparing for Dawson's 4th Birthday!!

Poppy thought of the awesome idea of getting Dawson a playset. This is more like a playland ... I can only imagine what needs to be done to put this thing together. It came in 3 long boxes and requires quite a bit of assembly! Regardless, Dawson is going to just love this new present and all the kids will play nicely on this. This is the picture from the website. As you can see this has everything a kid needs!

Dawson's birthday theme this year is Pirates of the Carribean. It fits nicely since we just returned from our Carribean cruise. Dawson is still psyched about Pirates. The party is going to be at our local pool in the neighborhood. We love our neighborhood pool because it has a big pool and 2 baby pools of varying depths. This should accomodate everyone we invite. I have so much work to do to plan for the party. I am having trouble finding a pirate cake but I have hope!

Poopers!

Well, I broke down and got lil man a new puppy! As you can see he is just tickled with his new found friend. WHAT WAS I THINKING? Another living, breathing thing to take care of ... to feed ... to clean up after ... She has turned out to be a great little dog and we named her Roxie. She is a Min. Schnauzer and they promised she won't get larger than 15 pounds. We will see what kind of liars they turn out to be :-) ... She has proved to be a yappy little thing already and barks at every little noise she hears. And as it turns out, Dawson is totally annoyed by her puppy habits! Puppy Habits = nipping, biting, chasing and overall annoyances!

Swimming!

The favorite part of the vacation cruise was swimming and playing in the water. In fact, we probably could have just spent the whole weekend at the pool and saved on so many costs :-)

Although, truly the most fun of the vacation was that my best friend and myself got to enjoy 24 hour eating and relaxing while the kids acted like kids. We definitely couldn't have afforded such an expense without my parents! Nanny and Poppy love taking us on vacations (we hope) and we defnitely enjoy going on them.

There is so much to do on these cruises. They have shows that are wonderful and food, food, and more food! I probably would have gained a lot of weight had it not been for the fact that some snot nose gave me strep-throat. Luckily I didn't get any symptoms from this until the return home!!
As you can see from the pictures, the little ones just loved playing in the pool and shooting anyone who got in their way!

Vacation!

We have just returned from the daunting task of taking a vacation. I have always heard the expression taking a vacation from the vacation and now truly understand the meaning of those words. We had a wonderful time though. We took a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas! Boy Disney knows how to throw a vacation of a lifetime. We met all of our favorite characters and made many memories. My best friend and her daughter Mia came on the trip with us and we had a great time. The kids enjoyed the many wonders only Disney could bring. I would recommend a Disney cruise to anyone who has children. It is an awesome experience.

Jack Sparrow was great! He definitely acted the part. We waited in an exceptionally long line to get our picture taken with Jack but it was worth the wait!! He was hillarious!
